As the United States prepares to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) is launching a nationwide, year-long effort to celebrate the essential role local radio and television stations play in recording history and connecting communities. 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, broadcasters from across the country gathered in Washington, D.C., for the National Association of Broadcasters’ (NAB) annual State Leadership Conference (SLC), a marquee advocacy event empowering local radio and television leaders to champion policies that strengthen stations’ ability to serve their communities.

Since 1987, these awards have recognized radio stations for their exceptional year-round commitment to community service. Recipients were chosen from 50 previously announced finalists.
